All of the characters are strong, well drawn, and interesting. The reader is quickly drawn into the love story, as well as the machinations and history of borderland Sixteen Century Scotland. Jen Hollings' writing flows beautifully and her narrative shines with humor, realism and excitement. Jen Holling introduces a cast of characters that quickly become a
perfect fit for the plot of her story. She uses an old premise of a
forced/convenient marriage between feuding Scottish clans, but with
skill turns it into an exciting adventure. Her leading man, though a
force to be reckoned with, is also romantic and loving, with the
charisma to see beneath the façade of a tortured heroine and teach her
to show the emotions she’s been suppressing. Trust is the main issue
in this story: As much as they want to believe in each other, how can
two people raised with hatred for the other clan ever trust the word
of a former enemy? Jen Holling slowly brings the couple around to make
the love that follows believable, and soon Caroline really becomes
‘Tempted By Robert’s Touch’. I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend
this medieval tale, and will anxiously await the sequel that is to
follow. TEMPTED BY YOUR TOUCH is an entertaining adventure filled with
suspense, sizzling desire and likable characters. … From the moment
Robert and Caroline meet the sparks fly and the air crackles with
electricity between the pair. … This is a tempting tale that had me
turning pages late into the night. Ms. Holling is a master storyteller
and doesn’t disappoint with TEMPTED BY YOUR TOUCH. I can't wait to see
who the bride will be in the next book in the trilogy. I heartily
